"Bonnie" stands as a compelling 2.5D platform game, bringing an original narrative intertwined with a dark emotional ambiance.
- Collaboratively brought to life by myself and college, during our tenure at BCFE work experience in 2016-2017, this project stands as an example of our design capabilities and creativity.
- Personally lead a team of 5 animators, creating mood boards and story boards to present them our vision and aesthetics .
- Conceptualizing and materializing this project proved both demanding and fulfilling, at the time, pushing my skills of programming, 3D/2D designing and level designing.
Achievement:
This game was showcased at the Irish Film Institute on May 27th for a work experience viewing event. Have uploaded the game onto GameJolt where it has received several positive reviews including many Let's Plays from a variety of YouTubers.
The main character is a happy puppy named Bonnie, who loves to make her owner happy. Though her owner is experiencing a serious mental health crisis of depression with symptoms of stress, fear, anxiety and Loneliness. No dog likes to see their owner upset and melancholy, so she tries to help her owner defeat depression and become happy once again. Bonnie fights her owners depression by getting rid of each symptom her owner suffers from, fear/stress/anxiety and loneliness. Each symptom is a specific level that Bonnie has to complete for the symptom to leave the owner and make him happier.
